About Gwen Brooks

Gwen Brooks brings decades of experience and a strong service-driven approach to insurance in the Fort Collins community. Raised on a working horse ranch in Wyoming, Gwen developed early values of hard work, resilience, and responsibility—qualities that shape the care she provides to every customer. With personal roots in both Colorado and Wyoming, Gwen has deep ties to the region and is proud to serve individuals, families, and small business owners across state lines.

Gwen attended the University of Wyoming and later graduated from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota before beginning a successful career in broadcast journalism. She worked as a morning anchor, reporter, and producer in Minnesota and Illinois, following internships with a major national news bureau in Chicago. Her background in communication and storytelling helps her explain insurance coverage clearly and guide customers through important decisions.

Before becoming an insurance agent, Gwen also excelled in advertising and marketing, earning national recognition as a top performer in one of the country’s most competitive organizations. She later joined State Farm, where she became a Top-50 agency owner nationwide and later served in a district-level leadership role before taking over her long-established agency here in Fort Collins.

Today, Gwen leads a woman-owned small business dedicated to helping customers choose the right insurance coverage for their homes, vehicles, businesses, and families. Her agency offers:
